We Are The Night offers passengers of KLM a first look at ‘Acces All Areas’. Acces All Areas is a brand new television program about Dutch dance festivals. The annual Amsterdam Dance Event is playing a leading roll in the first episode, which can already be seen at KLM’s inflight TV.
Every year in October all eyes are focussed on the Amsterdam Dance Event. DJ’s and producers from all corners of the world are coming to the capital of the electronic dance music. In the first episode of Acces All Areas, Mark Labrand, also daily host at Radio 538, speaks with several DJ’s like Jordy Dazz and Sied van Riel about their experiences, will be a VJ at a show of Armin van Buuren and offers an exclusive look behind the scenes.
For Mark Labrand this program is a new step in his career. “In addition to Radio 538, it’s fantastic to see my other dream coming true and be a tv host. Also it’s a very great location to be viewed with 1000 km/h and for the first time, quite litteraly, ‘on air’!”
“We are extremely proud that the first broadcast takes place at the inflight platform of KLM. It’s unique that we’ll be able to see our program at an altitude of 12 km”, according to Wilco Jung, creative director of We Are The Night. “The airline is always on top of the possibilities of new media. In the past I organised together with KLM the special Fly2Miami flight.”
Sander Olislagers of Wave concepts was one of the developpers of the format. “Wave Concepts has worked before with We Are The Night. Inspired by the succes of our dance productions, Wilco came up with the idea to produce a dance related television program. We developped the idea into an full television format”, according to Sander Olislagers. “After Amsterdam Dance Event, we are now exploring which other festivals are eligible for ‘Acces All Areas’. We hope to fill in the shoots for next season soon.”
